Wild rice in Northern Manitoba has grown naturally for decades. The long warm days of the Northern summer combined with the pristine lakes and rivers produce a world-renowned crop. This combination of a full-flavored rice with a deep rich nutty flavour, which, along with its long grain, has beautiful presentation when served.
Our North Manitoba crop is harvested exclusively in natural bodies of water as opposed to being cultivated or paddy-grown, hence the name Canadian lake wild rice. There are no pesticides or fertilizers used in production.
Our company has been in the wild rice business for 10 years, although our family has been involved in wild rice for nearly 30 years. We are a small family owned and operated company that does everything from the harvesting to the marketing of our product. We strive to provide top quality wild rice to our customers from Northern Manitoba, to Winnipeg, and across Canada. Our wild rice is organically certified through OPAM (Organic Producers Association of Manitoba) and is 100% organic.
We are also proud to carry a line of top-notch dehydrated soup mixes for more than 5 years. Our soups are a combination of various vegetables, beans, barley as well as our own wild rice and wild rice pasta. These soups are all natural with no preservatives or additives. They are full of vitamins, minerals and dietary fibres.
